Your Privacy Matters.

In an age where privacy concerns are paramount, hidden cameras can be a serious threat in places like hotel rooms, Airbnbs, or even your own home. Detecting these devices often requires specialized knowledge or expensive equipment.

A New Tool for Your Peace of Mind.

The team at NYU has developed a prototype software tool that empowers you to easily check for hidden cameras. We need your help to test and refine this innovative solution in a controlled lab environment.

What to Expect During Your Visit

When you come to our NYU lab, you'll get hands-on experience with our prototype software tool. Your task will be to:

  • Use our tool to scan for hidden cameras in a simulated environment within our lab space.
  • Walk around, much like a scavenger hunt, to actively find and identify concealed cameras.

After the "scavenger hunt," we'll conduct a quick interview (approximately 5-10 minutes) to gather your valuable feedback, insights, and suggestions about your experience with the tool. Your input is crucial for improving our research!
